FFXIV FanFest 2026
an infinite number of one-in-a-million moments all had to line up for these pictures to exist. i don’t think i’ll ever be able to fully describe how grateful i am to be on this incredible adventure with these amazing people. in the past year, i’ve spent more time with these folks than anyone else in my life. we built a nonprofit together. we’ve slayed digital dragons. we’ve had to work together to escape some lethal situations.👻 countless memories have been made over the past 1.5 years. and yet, this was our VERY FIRST TIME meeting in person.
last weekend, several members of HJP went to the anaheim convention center for FFXIV’s FanFest. for many of our members, it was their first time in california. for one, it was their first time in the US. and i can say that if it were not for HJP, we probably would have never crossed paths.
i knew i was onto something with HJP. it’s why i transformed this youtube community into a nonprofit a year ago. but i didn’t truly understand the potential for good that this nonprofit can do until i saw it with my own eyes in person.
the same way that there are centers for spots that provide enriching opportunities through basketball, hockey, tennis, running, etc.
or centers for arts that focus on theater, dance, music, writing, painting, etc.
HJP is a digital community center providing enriching experiences through video games.
and what i think is particularly special about HJP is that we’re NOT bound by proximity. we have members from different states, different countries. members in their 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, and 70s!
our unique diversity allows us to learn that we have more in common with each other than not. and these experiences have been life changing in many ways for our members, for me.
i see the good that HJP can do, that HJP IS doing, and i’m so excited to see where we go from here!
thanks HJP!🤩💜
also, special shoutout to ecamm for being the first company to donate to HJP and whose support helped make this weekend possible!
